Director, Saradise Gallery

Coffee is a universal beverage, consumed on every continent. In arts creativity, the canvas knows no boundaries. Art, like coffee, is a universal language. Coffee art is the combination of both – coffee as a medium whereas the artists breathe life into their masterpiece with the rich hues of espresso and the delicate strokes of imagination.

It is indeed a pleasure to be one of the co-organiser for the “Traces of Time” Coffee Art Painting Workshop 2023 held at Saradise Gallery together with the women artists from the Malaysia Women Artists Association.

Saradise Gallery has been a venue that promotes local “Sarawakiana” culture, arts and design. We aim to be a platform that showcases creative works by renowned local artists and designers as well as young emerging talents of Sarawak. The gallery aspires to play an instrumental role in educating the public and bringing to the forefront alternative ways of looking at and interacting with arts.

This foreword stands as a testament to the dedication and innovation of woman artists who has chosen to carve her niche in the world of art. It is an encouragement to embrace the unconventional, to celebrate the fusion of creativity and everyday rituals, and in coffee art, to recognize the beauty that emerges when passion meets a cup of coffee.

May this artistic journey inspire others to explore the limitless possibilities within their chosen mediums, and may the aroma of creativity continue to waft through the air, leaving behind a trail of inspired artists.
