 late Dr. Yuen Chee Ling 

Yuen Chee Ling, started figurative oil painting at 13. Awarded Scholarship for Creative Art (USM-1980-81); University Scholar - University of the Philippines (1983); BFA and MFA (1985 & 1986),Ph.D in Art ( University Sains Malaysia- 2007). Founder cum Director/Principal of Conservatory of Fine Art) cum Founder/ President of International Women Artists Council (INWAC), an international network established with a mission to promote women's art through "Her Presence In Colours Exhibition series". 
 

A professional artist, she has received international acclaims for her unique figurative style of the Pan Asian women type. She has held 15 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows locally and abroad. Over 100 articles on her art were published in newspapers and magazines including TV interviews (Hongkong, Canada, Beijing, Korea and Malaysia). She has 9 art books on her credit. Her paintings graced the cover of many magazines including Reader’s Digest and Expats, Author of publications: “Women by Women” and “Batik as Painting”. 
 

Paintings and biography listed in “Achievements of World Chinese Artists”,” 20th Century Women Artists” (1996). Her paintings are in the collection of Malaysia National Art Gallery, USM Museum, Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation Center, Pacific Bank, Bangkok Metropolitan Bank and Olympic Fine Art Museum and many local and international collectors.
