Artist Statement:

‘Coffee In Love’ displays women’s feelings in love. Coffee makes us feel so good because it is able to tap into virtually every reward system our brain has evolved. As soon as we drink a cup of coffee, we immediately know that the feeling is right. All the taste of coffee deeply reflect our feelings in love.
 

I choose watercolor to present ‘Coffee In Love’. This type of colour is very soft and natural, and easily express our feelings into artwork. From the painting, we can see that all the flowers cover almost the whole drawing. It represents ecstatic. The colorful flowers blooming in the spring, which so delight us, its happiness, full of expansion joy. On top of the flowers, stood couples and lovers. They exhibit different looks and thus have individual storyline. A couple going out for coffee on their first date. The dynamic lines showing the illusion and their feelings in love. Someone falling in love with a pretty girl. Short man jealous of his best friend’s love. A family enjoying coffee in great moment. However, he tried chasing a girl. All of the storyline comes with one destination….love. Being in love and able to communicate through it, is one of the best feelings in the world….by just looking into each other’s eyes and just tasting a cup of coffee.
 

I use rainbow color in ‘Coffee In Love’. The whole image of my painting is trying to express romantic passion for someone we love. The moment of ecstatic, heartbeats, nervousness, obsessive focus, safety and comfort. ‘Coffee In Love’ also expresses two hormones contributing to the sweaty palms and heartskipping- a-beat thing that you experience in the magic moments. Actually, the whole image is more in illustration rather than painting.
